Who are you! 5-29-16

Who are you! 5-29-16

Can you image your whole as life not knowing yourself? It a strange thought to walking around and never truly knowing who you are. You come into this world knowing that you’re different. You feel it will entire being that you walk in to a dream of sorts. You silently question the why that make up your family, the things that happen to you or the way people interact with each other. Never really understanding why people say or do what they doing. The bible says to know yourself, what does that really mean. Does it mean you question everything that life offers you! Does is it mean that to understand yourself you need to dig deep into your soul to understand that your human in form. That your boy or girl and that we see each other differently.

Or that we have emotions and feeling that play at us daily with the dealing of life. Are you supposed to know what make you happy and all your dislike of the world? Are we really who we think we are or is a creation of mind. Is there a unique goal to life, or are we just here to exist and create life, death and birth of the experience. We come to points in our lives that things make sense, life is good and then there are times when life just does not. We set goal after goals that we put in motion and as hard as we try, they seem to slide through our fingers and not fully understanding the why’s to what happen.

We all come in with expectation of living a life of wonder and achieving great things for ourselves. Living from our personal mission to experiencing life. We face extremes of personality and look for balance in the uncertainly of life. We do are best to bring life to our journey here, yet the more we try and do, the less it feels real. We move about a day going, doing and planning events that need to get done. Yet, if you are not doing by society standard that’s not much to speak of. We gotten so far out of touch with nature and people that we just walking around not enjoying being here. Many people have memories of such experience that it’s difficult to see a world that places things over the moments over connections.

Work has become that new title of our lives. The things that we consumer fills the holes, instead of looking for the connection to life or ourselves. How many people do you know that are just like yourself. You live the same life, in the same house, and travel the same path in life. What about the rest of the world and the people who inhabit it. What if you stepped out of bubble that your call your life. What would it look like? What would you see? See we are all on this beautiful journey called life and we forgotten that life existed outside of the doing. Many times when we were small and younger we dreamed of life outside of our knowing, we dreamt of adventure and connection to the wonders that life could offer us. Not all experience were what we expectation, but they impressed that there is much more then we could possible realize.

We always looking for something to fill us, to be much more then we can possibly imagine. If you had to ask what the hole is? Where is it? What does it want from you and how do you fill it? Many times were looking for other things to fill it. It could money, love, relationships and success, but it really you it’s looking for. As the song states “Who are you?” do you really know you or are living out what others want for you. Are doing or are listening to yourself, are living a life of passion from your heart. We tend to pretend that there is not two side to us and that we singular in form. If you ask a children who they are they will tell you exactly who they are. If ask the parent they may tell you a different story because they have seen both side of the coin, so to speak.

Ask any parents from any generation they have the same expectation for their children, from the moment they are born to passing of their life. Yet listening to ourselves has fallen much to the waist side and we walk around pretending that it does not affect us, yet it impacts all of us, as a whole. If you look at any natural or man-made disaster it does not just impact that area in which it took place, it ripples out across the planet affecting far more than just the incident at hand.  So why is that we don’t listen to ourselves that we don’t think who we are and we have stop listening to our heart.

Think for moment who are you, what are your beliefs and your challenges – who help your become you or who are you really. From your mother to your death, your had others to help you become you. Did they help define you or hind you? If you had the opportunity to stand before yourself, what would tell yourself about you? So the question remains “who are you”? Are you sum of parts or is just “I”.

I dedicate this to all the men and women who conscious choose to protective us, and not realizing the impact that it would have on their experience on life, and the value of the human experience. Happy Memorial Day!
