Why people don't forgive because then have to look at themselves, as part of problem and not the solution. This does not mean that you forget what has happened, it is you learned to understand that are working from a hurt part of themselves that they themselves have not healed. Also if they allow forgiveness, they have nothing to hold over you, because you are no longer problem, they are.
